ISLA FLOREANA.- Located south of Santa Cruz Island. Very early aboard our boat, we will cruise to this island’s main fishing grounds. Along the way we will observe pods of playful dolphins swimming very close to us. The scenery is fantastic, with Champion, Enderby and Corona del Diablo islets within sight. Seabirds are abundant.
Our rods indicate the first tuna caught, and it’s time for a delicious sashimi. The entire group will have the opportunity to fish. After fishing, we’ll take a short break for lunch, then drop anchor offshore an islet. From our boat, we will observe fascinating landscapes cloaked in the mysterious air this particular island has, the topic of many books and legends. The snorkeling at Floreana is fabulous! Playful sea lions invite us to swim. We will watch sea turtles, rays and a variety of colorful fish, as well as the occasional shark. For lunch, we will have a rich ceviche and resume fishing, our main objective.
But there’s more! At the end of the day, you’ll have the opportunity to order your own fish grilled, straight from the sea to table. We offer a range of specialized restaurants with excellent wine lists in Puerto Ayora, Santa Cruz.
